5 amazing dropshipping bloggers

Dropshipping bloggers have an advantage. They helpfully engage with their customers. Blogs are like having a 24-hour employee with a “How can I help you?” badge brightly polished.

If you’ve read any of my posts, you know I advocate blogging for whatever type of website you have. Dropshipping bloggers are in the minority, but a few brilliant people have figured out how to make it work for them.

In our busy lives, many things get overlooked. I get that. I understand the reluctance to venture into something that may not be comfortable. If you are someone who feels more comfortable expressing yourself in another medium such as Facebook or Instagram, I understand how hard it may be to get out of your comfort zone.

This is especially true if you don’t think the reward is high enough.

The biggest advantage of blogging for you is that customers that come looking for what you sell can find you!

Blogs can:

  • Be helpful
  • Let the customer get to know you
  • Give you authority
  • Help to build your brand

I expect that these blogging benefits may not be known to most store owners, and it is hard to believe without seeing it for yourself. To that end, I have made a list of the top 5 dropshipping bloggers and their stories of success so you can see for yourself.

Dropshipping Bloggers that deliever!

Here are 5 stores with some stats. Alexa Rank is a traffic popularity ranking. The closer your site is to #1, the more traffic you are getting. Google is #1, Youtube #2. The keywords are the top searches driving traffic to that site, but certainly not the only ones. A typical site that uses blogging can have 100s or 1000s of phrases.

Au Lit Fine Linens

What do they Sell?

Alexa Rank: 384,624

All things related to beds, and sleeping, including sheets, pajamas, robes, towels, and other linens.

How they use their blog

Their blog posts seem mostly to be broken down into 3 categories:

  • Answering questions
  • Gift Guides
  • Trends and new products

At first glance, one might think that the new products or gift guides would be the posts that would bring in sales. In my experience is the posts that answer questions that bring in the customers.

If a customer is asking about sheet sizes, it is likely they are thinking of buying new sheets. They place this question into Google. A helpful post about sizes of sheets pops up. While people search on sales and trends, it is the questions and problem solving using the most.

Top Keywords

  • Standard Pillow Size
  • What is a coverlet
  • au lit fine linens

getvinebox.com

Alexa Rank:249,155

What do they sell?

Getvinebox offers classy yet affordable wine and wine subscriptions. The box in their name refers to the colorful gift boxes in which the glass containers are shipped.

How they use their blog

They mostly use their blog to educate customers about wine. Wine is one of those subjects where we can feel embarrassed if we lack the knowledge when it is time to select a vintage. I’m guessing this would be a subject that curious people would search for instead of asking others.

While the top 3 keywords are all about products, which is absolutely brilliant for sales, the site has over 14,000 keywords that bring it traffic. That’s the power of blogging!

Top Keywords

  • vinebox
  • wine box
  • decanter

thefarmersdog.com

Alexa Rank:37,688

What do they sell?

Fresh human-grade dog food for home delivery.

How they use their blog

The blog seems entirely dedicated to answering questions. Most titles start with “Why does my dog…” or “Can my dog

.”This is a great strategy to bring in qualified customers. The logic follows that if the visitor cares about their dog’s behavior, they also care about their pet’s health.

Top Keywords

All of the top keywords are a variation of “the farmer’s dog.” This happens when your site develops into a brand.

madeincookware.com

Alexa Rank:43,399

What do they sell?

All things having to do with the kitchen. Pots, pans, cookware, knives, and accessories.

How they use their blog

Madeincookware has broken its blog into 4 categories

  • care
  • culture
  • tools
  • technique

Each section answers questions for that category, such as “How do I take care of my knives?” or compares items “Red vs. White wine glasses”. Each of those titles is the perfect search phrase. Several posts like “The beauty of copper” are more designed for social media postings or email than search engines.

While I generally use blogging for customers to find me via search engines, it is also great for communicating to your already existing customers via your social and email channels.

Top Keywords

  • made in cookware
  • made in
  • saucepan

odditymall.com

Alexa Rank:62,046

What do they sell?

Anything that can be classified as either a gadget or a little bit odd. They are expert dropshipping bloggers and do it in a fun way for both them and the customers.

How they use their blog

This blog is different than the ones mentioned because it goes straight for the product. Most of the posts seem to poke a little fun at the products they are selling. But the point is they talk about the products that no one else is really talking about and are doing it in a fun and friendly way.

The post on adult racecar beds is a good example.

If you already have a store, this technique may not be as helpful, but if you are thinking of starting a store, or even a second store, if you can think of a niche that is wacky enough that other people won’t touch it, but has some search traffic you could be on to a winner.

Summing it all up!

I hope that this post on dropshipping bloggers has inspired you to become one yourself. I won’t say it is easy or that it can be done overnight. It takes about 2 to 3 months for a post even to rank, but it can bring in traffic for many years once it is there.
